2025 Summer Research Program
Funded by Scott Jewett Fund for Innovation and Student Success
Open To:
Teams consisting of a CSUF undergraduate student and CSUF faculty mentor who will pursue a research agenda involving computation and big data (broadly defined). Teams who are interested in using high-performance computing but do not yet have experience with it are especially encouraged to apply. Student participants must have a graduation date of Fall 2025 or later.
Requirements of Program:
- Student participants will conduct research for 20 hours/week for 10 weeks (June 16-August 22) under the guidance of their faculty mentor.
- Student participating will participate in biweekly workshops over the summer program.
- Student participants will present a poster on their work at the CCAM Research Symposium in September 2025.
Benefits of Program:
- Each student-faculty team will receive stipends
- Participants in the program will join a cohort of CSUF faculty and undergraduate students interested in research involving computation and big data
- Students and faculty will participate in seminars and workshops that highlight applications of computation and big data in research
